STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 13864C1 Amends existing Code to provide for a division in EMS III grant funds based on annual call volume. Currently, agencies in urban areas are unable to qualify for funding because of population, service area, and budget. This amendment would provide equal access to funding for rural and urban emergency medical service providers. Additionally, this measure provides a requirement that any agency requesting grant funds must provide quarterly patient records to the emergency medical services bureau. FISCAL IMPACT None.
