APPROPRIATIONS - GOVERNOR'S OFFICE - Adds to existing law to provide that
the Executive Office of the Governor is exempt from certain provisions of
Idaho Code relating to the transfer of funds from one program to another

HOUSE BILL NO. 841
BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
1 AN ACT
2 RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; TO EXEMPT THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR
3 FROM CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF IDAHO CODE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004; AND DECLARING
4 AN EMERGENCY.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. The appropriations made for the Executive Office of the Gover-
7 nor in Section 1, Chapter 195, Laws of 2003, and Subsection 26 of Section 2,
8 Chapter 380, Laws of 2003, are hereby exempted from the provisions of Section
9 67-3511(2), Idaho Code, for the period July 1, 2003, through June 30, 2004.
10 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby
11 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
12 passage and approval.

This bill relates to the FY 2004 appropriation for the Office of the Governor. It exempts the Office of the Governor from the 10% transfer rule as provided in Idaho Code §67-3511(2), thereby authorizing the Governor's Office to transfer moneys between programs as needed to cover a funding shortfall in the Acting Governor Pay program.
