1 AN ACT
2 REDUCING THE APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE CORRECTIONS FOR FIS-
3 CAL YEAR 2004; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
5 SECTION 1. The appropriation to the Department of Juvenile Corrections
6 made in Section 1, Chapter 333, Laws of 2003, is hereby reduced by the follow-
7 ing amount from the designated program according to the designated expense
8 class from the listed fund for the period July 1, 2003, through June 30, 2004:
9 III. INSTITUTIONS:

13 General Fund $1,000,000
14 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby
15 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
16 passage and approval.

This bill reduces the amount of the FY 2003 Reappropriation authorized in the Institutions Program for contract provider payments by $1,000,000. The Department of Juvenile Corrections was able to carryover $1,205,400 from the General Fund from FY 2003 into FY 2004. The balance of $205,400 will remain with the Department until the end of FY 2004, at which time it will be removed from the FY 2005 Base.
