STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 13842 The proposed amendment would extend to auto racing venues the same rights which horse racing tracks have to obtain a limited liquor license. Horse racing tracks are afforded limited liquor licenses which apply only to the race track property for which they are issued. Auto racing venues do not presently enjoy the same privilege, and this amendment seeks to treat both racing venues equally for the purpose of obtaining a liquor license. FISCAL IMPACT The proposed amendment does not result in any increase in expenditures from the general fund.
