Statement of Purpose |
RS13379 |
This is the FY 2005 appropriation for state General Fund support to North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene and the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls. Idaho’s two community colleges are essentially local, not state, institutions of higher education that emphasize access to postsecondary education. They offer two-year degrees, non-degree educational and training programs, and prepare students who are interested in continuing their education at the baccalaureate level. State funding augments other sources of operating funds that include property taxes, tuition, fees and a small portion of the revenue generated by the controlled sale of liquor.
