BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF SELF-GOVERNING AGENCIES
3 FOR THE MEDICAL BOARDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005; AND AUTHORIZING ONE-HALF
4 ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITION.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 2, House Bill
7 No. 762, as enacted by the Second Regular Session of the Fifty-seventh Idaho
8 Legislature, there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Self-Governing
9 Agencies for the Medical Boards, the following amount to be expended for the
10 designated program according to the designated expense class from the listed
11 fund for the period July 1, 2004, through June 30, 2005:

16 State Regulatory Fund $12,000
17 SECTION 2. In addition to the full-time equivalent positions authorized
18 in Section 4, House Bill No. 762, as enacted by the Second Regular Session of
19 the Fifty-Seventh Idaho Legislature, the Board of Nursing is hereby authorized
20 an additional one-half (0.5) full-time equivalent position for the period July
21 1, 2004, through June 30, 2005.

This is a trailer FY 2005 Appropriation for the Board of Nursing in
the Department of Self-Governing Agencies in the amount of $12,000 in
dedicated fund spending authority. This bill also includes an additional
one-half FTP. This trailer appropriation is made in light of the passage
of HB 815 which requires the Board to record notices of termination of
health care providers if an employee is terminated for the adulteration
of a controlled substance. The Board is also required to transmit such
notices to prospective employers when termination information is requested.
