Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact

                       STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
                             RS 13926

To provide full-time kindergarten attendance for specific
students and providing for inclusion in the kindergarten
attendance factor.

                          FISCAL IMPACT

The fiscal impact would be $7,395,000. It is based on the
following: there are 435 kindergarten support units generated
from statewide attendance reports. Each support unit is valued
at $85,000 in general fund distribution. 435 kindergarten
support units x .20 = 87 support unit increase. 87 additional
support units x $85,000 = $7,395,000.
