  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DIVISION  OF  BUILDING  SAFETY  IN  THE
  3        DEPARTMENT  OF SELF-GOVERNING AGENCIES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006; AND AUTHORIZ-
  4        ING ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  In addition to the appropriation made in Section 1, House Bill
  7    No. 360, enacted by the First Regular Session of the Fifty-eighth Idaho Legis-
  8    lature, there is hereby appropriated to the Division of Building Safety in the
  9    Department of Self-Governing Agencies, the following amounts  to  be  expended
 10    according  to  the  designated  expense  classes  from the listed fund for the
 11    period July 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006:

 14    Operating Expenditures                                                  48,200
 15    Capital Outlay                                                          24,900

 19        SECTION 2.  In addition to the full-time equivalent  positions  authorized
 20    in  Section 2, House Bill No. 360, enacted by the First Regular Session of the
 21    Fifty-eighth Idaho Legislature, the Division  of  Building  Safety  is  hereby
 22    authorized an additional two (2) full-time equivalent positions for the period
 23    July 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006.

Statement of Purpose

This is a trailer FY 2006 Appropriation for the Division of Building Safety in the Department of Self-Governing Agencies in the amount of $189,100 in dedicated fund spending authority. This bill authorizes two (2.0) FTP and spending authority for the Public Works Licensing Board at the Division of Building Safety. This bill is necessary to provide spending authority and staff to allow the Board to fulfill its obligations required by HB 263 which provided additional authority and obligations to the Public Works Contractor Licensing Board.

Fiscal Note

This bill provides dedicated fund spending authority of $189,100 and 2.0 FTP for the Division of Building Safety in the Department of Self-Governing Agencies. The spending authority is allocated in the following manner: $116,000 for personnel costs (including salary and benefits); $48,200 for operating expenses; and $24,900 in capital outlay.
