  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF  SELF-GOVERNING  AGENCIES
  3        FOR  THE  BOARD OF VETERINARY MEDICINE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005; AND DECLARING
  4        AN EMERGENCY.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  In addition to the appropriation made in  Section  2,  Chapter
  7    273, Laws of 2004, there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Self-Gov-
  8    erning  Agencies  for the Board of Veterinary Medicine the following amount to
  9    be expended for the designated program according  to  the  designated  expense
 10    class from the listed fund for the period July 1, 2004, through June 30, 2005:
 11    BOARD OF VETERINARY MEDICINE:
 12    FOR:
 13    Operating Expenditures                                                  $3,700
 14    FROM:
 15    State Regulatory Fund                                                   $3,700
                                                                        
 16        SECTION  2.  An  emergency  existing  therefor,  which emergency is hereby
 17    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
 18    passage and approval.

Statement of Purpose

This is the FY 2005 Supplemental Appropriation for the Board of Veterinary Medicine in the Department of Self-Governing Agencies. This bill provides $3,700 in dedicated fund spending authority to help cover costs stemming from a particularly contentious disciplinary hearing. This Supplemental will help address an anticipated shortfall in appropriated operating expenditures as a result of the hearing.
