]]]] LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO ]]]] Fifty-eighth Legislature First Regular Session - 2005IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 235 BY STATE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO LICENSES FOR DRINKING WATER OPERATORS; AMENDING SECTION 54-2411, 3 IDAHO CODE, TO PROVIDE REINSTATEMENT, FEE AND EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS FOR 4 A DRINKING WATER OPERATOR WHOSE LICENSE HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR A PERIOD OF 5 MORE THAN TWO YEARS. 6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 7 SECTION 1. That Section 54-2411, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby 8 amended to read as follows: 9 54-2411. ANNUAL RENEWAL OF LICENSE. Every person licensed under the pro- 10 visions of this chapter shall annually pay the prescribed renewal fee and cer- 11 tify compliance with continuing education requirements and provide such other 12 information as the board may request. Any license canceled for failure to meet 13 the renewal requirements may be reinstated according to section 67-2614, Idaho 14 Code, except that in the case of a drinking water operator whose license has 15 been canceled for a period of more than two (2) years, the person so affected 16 shall be required to make application to the board, using the same forms and 17 furnishing the same information and paying the same fee and successfully com- 18 pleting the same examination as is required of a person originally applying 19 for a license of the same classification.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 15011 This legislation amends section 54-2411, Idaho Code, to limit reinstatement of cancelled drinking water operator licenses to two years. This provision is a requirement from the Environmental Protection Agency. FISCAL NOTE There is no fiscal impact on general or dedicated funds.
