  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR  FOR  THE  HUMAN
  3        RIGHTS COMMISSION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION  1.  In  addition  to  the appropriation made in Section 1, Senate
  6    Bill No. 1185, enacted by the First Regular Session of the Fifty-eighth  Idaho
  7    Legislature,  there  is  hereby appropriated to the Office of the Governor for
  8    the Human Rights Commission the following amounts to be expended according  to
  9    the  designated  expense  classes  from the listed fund for the period July 1,
 10    2005, through June 30, 2006:

Statement of Purpose
RS15218

This is a fiscal year 2006 trailer appropriation bill for the Human Rights Commission as result of the passage of H249. H249 amended the Human Rights Act by adding disability to the current prohibitions of discrimination in connection with public accommodations (private businesses). The Human Rights Commission is statutorily charged with the enforcement of the Human Rights Act.

$10,000 in personnel costs and $10,000 in operating expenses for a total of $20,000 in General Funds.
