1 AN ACT
2 RELATING TO THE IDAHO DAIRY PRODUCTS COMMISSION; AMENDING SECTION 25-3102,
3 IDAHO CODE, TO REVISE MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COMPOSITION OF THE
4 IDAHO DAIRY PRODUCTS COMMISSION AND TO MAKE TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS; AND
5 AMENDING SECTION 25-3104, IDAHO CODE, TO REVISE THE NUMBER OF COMMISSION
6 MEMBERS REQUIRED TO REPRESENT CERTAIN DESIGNATED DISTRICTS AND TO REVISE
7 DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICTS.
8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
9 SECTION 1. That Section 25-3102, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby
10 amended to read as follows:
11 25-3102. DAIRY PRODUCTS COMMISSION -- ESTABLISHMENT -- MEMBERS. (1) There
12 is hereby created and established in the department of self-governing agencies
13 the "Idaho dairy products commission" to be composed of nine (9) producer mem-
14 bers, one three (13) from each of the nine three (93) commission districts
15 referred to in section 25-3104, Idaho Code, who shall be elected by the pro-
16 ducers of said districts as hereinafter set forth, and they shall hold office
17 for a term of three (3) years.
18 (2) The dean of the college of agriculture, Uuniversity of Idaho, or his
19 duly authorized representative, and a duly authorized representative of the
20 Idaho milk processors association, shall be ex officio members without vote of
21 the commission.
22 SECTION 2. That Section 25-3104, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby
23 amended to read as follows:
24 25-3104. REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICTS. Each Three (3) elected commission mem-
25 bers shall represent one (1) of the following districts:
26 (1) District I, which shall include the counties of Ada, Adams, Benewah,
27 Boise, Bonner, Boundary, Canyon, Clearwater, Elmore, Gem, Idaho, Kootenai, La-
28 tah, Lewis, Nez Perce, Owyhee, Payette, Shoshone, Valley and Washington;
29 (2) District II, which shall include the counties of Adams, Boise, Gem,
30 Payette, Valley, Washington Blaine, Camas, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Cassia,
31 Minidoka and Twin Falls;
32 (3) District III, which shall include the counties of Canyon, Owyhee Ban-
33 nock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Bonneville, Butte, Caribou, Clark, Custer, Franklin,
34 Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison, Oneida, Power and Teton;
35 (4) District IV, which shall include the counties of Ada, Elmore;
36 (5) District V, which shall include the counties of Blaine, Camas, Good-
37 ing, Jerome, Lincoln;
38 (6) District VI, which shall include the counties of Cassia, Minidoka,
39 Twin Falls;
40 (7) District VII, which shall include the counties of Butte, Clark, Fre-
41 mont, Jefferson, Madison, Teton, Custer, Lemhi;

1 (8) District VIII, which shall include the counties of Bannock, Bingham,
2 Bonneville;
3 (9) District IX, which shall include the counties of Bear Lake, Caribou,
4 Franklin, Oneida, Power.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS 14606
This bill is necessary to consolidate the representative Idaho
Dairy Commission districts from nine (9) to three (3), since the
areas of milk production in the state have changed over the years
since the statute was orginally passed.
FISCAL IMPACT
There will be no fiscal impact to the General Fund.
