Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact

                     STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
                            RS 14616

This amendment corrects the reference to Chapter 8, Signs, Signals,
and Markings. All bicyclists must also obey these codes.
Currently, it would appear that bicyclists do not have to obey
these codes. Chapter 7 is referred to in 49-714 by the words
"except as otherwise provided in this chapter."

                         FISCAL IMPACT

There will be no fiscal impact to the State General Funds or
local government.
