1 AN ACT
2 RELATING TO THE IDAHO GUARD AND RESERVE FAMILY SUPPORT FUND; AMENDING SECTION
3 57-820, IDAHO CODE, TO PROVIDE FOR INVESTMENT OF IDLE MONEYS IN THE FUND
4 AND FOR RETURN OF INTEREST EARNED ON SUCH INVESTMENTS TO THE FUND.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. That Section 57-820, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby
7 amended to read as follows:
8 57-820. THE IDAHO GUARD AND RESERVE FAMILY SUPPORT FUND. There is hereby
9 created in the state treasury, the Idaho guard and reserve family support
10 fund. Moneys in the fund shall be continuously appropriated to the "Idaho
11 Guard and Reserve Family Support Fund, Inc." for support of members and fami-
12 lies of members of the national guard and reserve who are residents of the
13 state of Idaho or members of national guard or reserve units located in Idaho.
14 The state treasurer shall invest idle moneys in the fund and interest earned
15 from such investments shall be returned to the fund.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS 16234
This proposal amends Idaho Code 57-820 to provide that interest
which accrues in the Idaho Guard and Reserve Family Support Fund
(IGRFSF)while under control of the state, will remain with and
become part of the Fund, and not revert into the general revenues
of the state.

There is no fiscal impact from this proposal.
