                                BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
  1                                        AN ACT
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
  5        SECTION  1.  In addition to any other appropriation provided by law, there
  6    is hereby appropriated $911,500 from the General Fund to the Supreme Court for
  7    judicial salary increases for the period July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2007.

Appropriates additional moneys to the Supreme Court for judicial salary increases for fiscal year 2007.



Fiscal Note

House Bill 814a increased the annual salary of the justices of the supreme court, judges of the court of appeals, administrative district judges, district judges, and magistrate judges by a 3% increase plus a 3% adjustment, beginning July 1, 2006. Funding to cover this added cost is included in this trailer appropriation bill. The bill provides a lump sum appropriation to the Supreme Court in the amount of $911,500 from the General Fund for fiscal year 2007.

The salary of the chief justice will increase from $105,668 to $112,000; for supreme court justices from $104,168 to $110,500; for judges of the court of appeals from $103,168 to $109,500; for administrative district judges from $99,132 to $105,100; for district judges from $97,632 to $103,600; and for magistrate judges from $92,632 to $98,600.
