                                BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
                                                                        
  1                                        AN ACT
  2    DIRECTING THE STATE CONTROLLER TO TRANSFER MONEYS FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE
  3        ECONOMIC RECOVERY RESERVE FUND; AND APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE
  4        STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  On July 1 or as soon thereafter as possible,  the  State  Con-
  7    troller  shall  transfer  the sum of $50,000 from the General Fund to the Eco-
  8    nomic Recovery Reserve Fund.
                                                                        
  9        SECTION 2.  In addition to any other appropriation provided by law,  there
 10    is  hereby  appropriated  to the State Board of Education for Special Programs
 11    the following amounts to be expended for the designated program  according  to
 12    the  designated  expense  classes  from the listed fund for the period July 1,
 13    2006, through June 30, 2007:

Statement of Purpose

This is a fiscal year 2007 appropriation for the TechHelp program to provide one-time funding for its New Product Development laboratory at Boise State University. TechHelp would use this funding to add new rapid prototyping materials, software, and capacity needed to meet client demand for its New Product Development services.

Fiscal Note

This bill transfers $50,000 from the General Fund to the Economic Recovery Reserve Fund. It then appropriates that amount to Special Programs under the State Board of Education to be used by the TechHelp program.
