]]]] LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO ]]]] Fifty-eighth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2006IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 872 BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 DIRECTING THE STATE CONTROLLER TO TRANSFER MONEYS FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE 3 ECONOMIC RECOVERY RESERVE FUND; AND APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE 4 DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND LABOR FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007 THROUGH FISCAL YEAR 5 2008. 6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 7 SECTION 1. On July 1, 2006, or as soon thereafter as possible, the State 8 Controller shall transfer the sum of $250,000 from the General Fund to the 9 Economic Recovery Reserve Fund. 10 SECTION 2. In addition to any other appropriation provided by law, there 11 is hereby appropriated to the Idaho Department of Commerce and Labor $250,000 12 from the Economic Recovery Reserve Fund for the period July 1, 2006, through 13 June 30, 2008. Such moneys shall be used to provide expertise to successful 14 applicants among rural communities to obtain innovative growth management 15 strategies to meet challenges that arise from rapid population growth.

This bill appropriates $250,000 from the Economic Recovery Reserve Fund to the Department of Commerce and Labor for a new rural communities growth management program.
