Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact

                       STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

                             RS 16097

The purpose of this legislation is to remove outdated language
applicable to the Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind (ISDB)
that has been in place for nearly 100 years and replacing it with
language that provides clearer definitions. This includes making
the statute consistent with historical practices of ISDB offering
education services to eligible students residing outside the campus
area.

                         FISCAL IMPACT

There will be no fiscal impact to the general fund.
