]]]] LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO ]]]] Fifty-eighth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2006 IN THE SENATE SENATE BILL NO. 1499 BY FINANCE COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 DIRECTING THE STATE CONTROLLER TO TRANSFER MONEYS FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE 3 ECONOMIC RECOVERY RESERVE FUND; CREATING THE BUSINESS AND JOBS DEVELOPMENT 4 FUND; DIRECTING THE STATE CONTROLLER TO TRANSFER MONEYS FROM THE ECONOMIC 5 RECOVERY RESERVE FUND TO THE BUSINESS AND JOBS DEVELOPMENT FUND; AND 6 APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND LABOR 7 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007 THROUGH FISCAL YEAR 2008. 8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 9 SECTION 1. On July 1, 2006, or as soon thereafter as possible, the State 10 Controller shall transfer the sum of $1,000,000 from the General Fund to the 11 Economic Recovery Reserve Fund. 12 SECTION 2. There is hereby created in the state treasury the Business and 13 Jobs Development Fund which shall retain its own interest earnings. 14 SECTION 3. On July 1, 2006, or as soon thereafter as possible, the State 15 Controller shall transfer $1,000,000 from the Economic Recovery Reserve Fund 16 to the Business and Jobs Development Fund. 17 SECTION 4. In addition to any other appropriation provided by law, there 18 is hereby appropriated to the Idaho Department of Commerce and Labor 19 $1,000,000 from the Business and Jobs Development Fund to be expended for the 20 period July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2008. Such moneys shall be made avail- 21 able at the discretion of the director of the Idaho Department of Commerce and 22 Labor and shall be used for public costs associated with the recruitment of 23 companies to Idaho. The Idaho Department of Commerce and Labor shall promul- 24 gate rules to implement the intent of this section.

This is a fiscal year 2007 appropriation providing $1,000,000 from the Economic Recovery Reserve Fund to the Department of Commerce and Labor for a new Jobs Development Fund. Moneys from this fund will be made available, at the discretion of the director of the Department of Commerce and Labor and shall be used for public costs associated with the recruitment of companies to Idaho.
This is a fiscal year 2007 appropriation providing one million dollars ($1,000,000) from the Economic Recovery Reserve Fund to the Department of Commerce and Labor for a new Jobs Development Fund.
