]]]] LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO ]]]] Fifty-eighth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2006IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 550 BY BUSINESS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO THE IDAHO ELEVATOR SAFETY CODE ACT; AMENDING CHAPTER 86, TITLE 39, 3 IDAHO CODE, BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION 39-8623, IDAHO CODE, TO 4 ESTABLISH THE IDAHO ELEVATOR SAFETY FUND AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPROPRIA- 5 TION OF MONEYS IN THE FUND. 6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 7 SECTION 1. That Chapter 86, Title 39, Idaho Code, be, and the same is 8 hereby amended by the addition thereto of a NEW SECTION, to be known and des- 9 ignated as Section 39-8623, Idaho Code, and to read as follows: 10 39-8623. IDAHO ELEVATOR SAFETY FUND ESTABLISHED. All moneys received by 11 the administrator under the provisions of this chapter shall be paid into the 12 state treasury as directed by section 59-1014, Idaho Code, and shall be placed 13 by the state treasurer to the credit of a dedicated fund to be known as the 14 "Idaho Elevator Safety Fund" which is hereby established. All such moneys 15 hereafter placed in the fund are hereby set aside and appropriated to the 16 division of building safety to carry into effect the provisions of this chap- 17 ter.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 15364 The proposed legislation will create a dedicated fund into which monies received from administration of the Elevator Safety Act will be deposited and used for the enforcement of the provisions of the statute. The fund was not set up at the time the Act was originally adopted, but is necessary in order to assure accurate accounting. FISCAL NOTE There will be no fiscal impact from the passage of this legislation.
