                                BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
                                                                        
  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE IDAHO STATE HISTORICAL SOCIETY FOR FIS-
  3        CAL YEAR 2007; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION 1.  In addition to the appropriation made in  Section  1,  Chapter
  6    404,  Laws  of 2006, there is hereby appropriated to the State Board of Educa-
  7    tion for the Idaho State Historical  Society  the  following  amounts,  to  be
  8    expended  for  the  designated  programs  according  to the designated expense
  9    classes from the listed fund for the period July 1,  2006,  through  June  30,
 10    2007:
 11    HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND EDUCATION:

 13    Personnel Costs                                                       $ 20,000
 14    Operating Expenditures                                                  97,300

 18        SECTION  2.  An  emergency  existing  therefor,  which emergency is hereby
 19    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
 20    passage and approval.

Statement of Purpose

RS17065

This is a fiscal year 2007 supplemental appropriation for the Idaho State Historical Society. It provides $45,300 for maintenance and operations expenses for the Idaho History Center building and the old Bureau of Reclamation building, both in Boise. In addition, this provides $20,000 in personnel costs for a Principal Financial Specialist position and $52,000 in one-time operating expenses for the payout of a financial consultant.
