]]]] LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO ]]]] Fifty-ninth Legislature First Regular Session - 2007IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 316 BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 DIRECTING THE STATE CONTROLLER TO TRANSFER MONEYS TO THE IDAHO ECONOMIC DEVEL- 3 OPMENT BIOFUEL INFRASTRUCTURE MATCHING GRANT FUND; AND APPROPRIATING ADDI- 4 TIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008, 5 THROUGH FISCAL YEAR 2009. 6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 7 SECTION 1. On July 2, 2007, or as soon thereafter as possible, the State 8 Controller shall transfer $690,000 from the General Fund to the Idaho Economic 9 Development Biofuel Infrastructure Matching Grant Fund created in Section 1, 10 House Bill No. 150, as enacted by the First Regular Session of the Fifty-ninth 11 Idaho Legislature. 12 SECTION 2. In addition to any other appropriation provided by law, there 13 is hereby appropriated to the Department of Water Resources for the Energy 14 Resources Program the sum of $690,000 from the Idaho Economic Development 15 Biofuel Infrastructure Matching Grant Fund to be used for matching grants pur- 16 suant to Section 42-1806, Idaho Code, for the period July 1, 2008, through 17 June 30, 2009.

This is a trailer appropriation bill to H150 in the amount of $690,000. H150 creates a 50/50 matching grant program for Idaho retail fuel dealers who choose to invest in qualified fueling infrastructure projects dedicated to providing bio-fuels to their customers. The fiscal impact over the five year life of the program is $2.3 million with $690,000 requested in FY 2008.
