  2    RELATING TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM AND THE EMERGENCY  COMMU-
  3        NICATIONS COMMISSION; APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE OFFICE OF THE
  4        GOVERNOR  FOR  THE  MILITARY  DIVISION  FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008; REDUCING THE
  5        APPROPRIATION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION FOR FISCAL  YEAR  2008;
  6        AND AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS FOR THE MILITARY
  7        DIVISION AND REDUCING FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
  8        ADMINISTRATION.
                                                                        
  9    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
 10        SECTION  1.  In addition to any other appropriation provided by law, there
 11    is hereby appropriated to the Office of the Governor for the Military Division
 12    the following amounts to be expended for the designated program  according  to
 13    the  designated  expense  classes  from the listed fund for the period July 1,
 14    2007, through June 30, 2008:
 15    I. BUREAU OF HOMELAND SECURITY:

 18    Operating Expenditures                                                 855,300
 19    Capital Outlay                                                         145,600
 20      TOTAL                                                             $2,440,000

 25        SECTION 2.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the  appropriation
 26    to the Department of Administration is hereby reduced by the following amounts
 27    from  the  designated program according to the designated expense classes from
 28    the listed fund for the period July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008:
 29    I. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATIONS:

This is the fiscal year 2008 trailer appropriation transferring the appropriation for the Public Safety Communications Program from the Department of Administration to the Military Division. This trailer appropriation includes shifting $2,440,000 in dedicated funds and 23.0 FTP from the Department of Administration to the Military Division. This trailer appropriation is in response to the passage of House Bill 305 which authorized the transfer of the Public Safety Communications Program and the Emergency Communications Commission.

Fiscal Note

This is fiscal year 2008 trailer appropriation transfers the appropriation for the Public Safety Communications Program from the Department of Administration to the Military Division. This trailer appropriation includes shifting $2,440,000 in dedicated funds and 23.0 FTP from the Department of Administration to the Military Division.
