STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 17393 This bill will remove language which requires that the examination for licensure be conducted by the board of cosmetology to allow a third party examination administrator to conduct the examination. This bill will also remove language that requires the students enrolled in an Idaho licensed school to be registered with the board. FISCAL IMPACT There is no impact on general funds. There will be an impact on dedicated funds. This change would reduce the revenues of the board by approximately $22,380 per year for student registrations. The examination fee change would reduce the revenue but the cost to administer the examination will no longer be expended so there will be no net impact.
