STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 17314 Amends existing law relating to the Department of Fish and Game nonresident small game hunting license to correct terminology and clarify huntable species. FISCAL NOTE There is no fiscal effect to the General Fund. This license is as an annual license so correcting the title has no fiscal effect. The deletion of pygmy rabbit from this license has no fiscal effect because there has not been a season for pygmy rabbit for many years. Adding new hunting opportunity for huntable furbearers and unprotected and predatory animals is estimated to increase sales of this license no more than 1% of the past 5 year average sales of 4,669 licenses for a total increase to Fish and Game funds of $3,760.
