This is an FY 2008 supplemental appropriation for the Medical Boards and Regulatory Boards divisions of the Self-Governing Agencies. This bill adjusts the federal grant by object and reduces federal spending authority for the Board of Pharmacy. Additionally, this bill provides additional spending authority to the Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors to complete an imaging project, which is the conversion of paper files to digital records. Finally, this bill provides additional funding to the Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors to pay for the impact of a disciplinary action.

This legislation adjusts the federal grant fiscal year 2008 appropriation for the Board of Pharmacy program, and provides additional dedicated spending authority to the Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors program.
The bill adjusts the federal grant for the Board of Pharmacy by reducing operating expenditures by $81,800 and increasing personnel costs by $33,000 for a net federal grant reduction of $48,800.
This bill appropriates $40,000 one-time dedicated funding and shifts $6,000 ongoing dedicated personnel costs to complete an imaging project for the Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. The bill appropriates $22,600 one-time dedicated funding and shifts $2,400 ongoing dedicated personnel costs to cover the cost of a disciplinary action. The net additional appropriation for the Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors is $62,600.
