                                    SENATE BILL NO. 1358

                                    BY FINANCE COMMITTEE

  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING   ADDITIONAL   MONEYS   TO   THE   SUPERINTENDENT   OF    PUBLIC
  3        INSTRUCTION/STATE  DEPARTMENT  OF  EDUCATION  FOR  FISCAL  YEAR  2008; AND
  4        DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:

  6        SECTION 1.  In addition to the appropriation made in  Section  1,  Chapter
  7    349,  Laws of 2007, there is hereby appropriated to the Superintendent of Pub-
  8    lic Instruction/State Department of  Education  the  following  amount  to  be
  9    expended  according to the designated expense classes from the listed fund for
 10    the period July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008:
 11    FOR:
 12    Personnel Costs                                                       $109,400
 13    Operating Expenditures                                                  50,000
 14    TOTAL                                                                 $159,400
 15    FROM:
 16    Miscellaneous Revenue Fund                                            $159,400

 17        SECTION 2.  An emergency existing  therefor,  which  emergency  is  hereby
 18    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
 19    passage and approval.

Appropriates an additional $159,400 of ongoing funding from the dedicated Miscellaneous Fund to the Superintendent of Public Instruction for fiscal year 2008. Of this amount, $109,400 is for Personnel Costs and $50,000 is for Operating Expenses.

Fiscal Note

This legislation provides an additional fiscal year 2008 appropriation of $159,400 for the Superintendent of Public Instruction for the purpose of utilizing dedicated funds collected by the Pupil Transportation program.
