1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS FOR THE COMMISSION ON AGING FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009; AND
3 LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
5 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Office of the Governor for
6 the Commission on Aging the following amounts to be expended according to the
7 designated expense classes from the listed funds for the period July 1, 2008,
8 through June 30, 2009:

22 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Commission
23 on Aging is authorized no more than fifteen and thirty-five hundredths (15.35)
24 full-time equivalent positions at any point during the period July 1, 2008,
25 through June 30, 2009, for the program specified in Section 1 of this act,
26 unless specifically authorized by the Governor. The Joint Finance-
27 Appropriations Committee will be notified promptly of any increased positions
28 so authorized.

This is the fiscal year 2009 appropriation for the Commission on Aging. The appropriation includes additional funding for employer benefit costs, inflation for the rent increase, and a 3% CEC for employees. An additional $100,000 was provided for increased services to seniors through the regional Area Agencies on Aging. These services may include case management, transportation, respite services, ombudsman representation, and home delivered meals.
