OPTOMETRISTS – Amends, adds to and repeals existing law relating to optometrists to define terms; to provide for penalties; to provide that an optician lawfully practicing opticianry within the state is not in violation of the chapter; to provide penalties and remedies regarding nonlicensed persons; to remove outdated language; to provide qualifications for members of the State Board of Optometry; repealing code provisions regarding qualifications for members of the State Board of Optometry; to revise the powers and duties of the board; to remove a power and duty of the board; to revise a ground for license discipline; to remove certain printing and distribution requirements; and to provide for an availability requirement.
