SENATE BILL 1166

WORKER’S COMPENSATION – Amends existing law relating to worker’s compensation insurance fraud to provide that insurance fraud includes anyone willfully making a materially false statement or material misrepresentation to an insurer, employer, practitioner or other person, with the intent to defraud or deceive an insurer or other person, to retain worker’s compensation benefits and to provide for a felony.
