|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-seventh Legislature First Regular Session - 2003IN THE SENATE SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 105 BY STATE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE 1 A SENATE RESOLUTION 2 EXPRESSING SINCERE APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE TO THE J.A. & KATHRYN ALBERTSON 3 FOUNDATION FOR ITS GENEROSITY AND COMMITMENT TO EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT 4 AND PROGRESS IN THE STATE OF IDAHO. 5 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Idaho: 6 WHEREAS, the Senate herein extends its sincere appreciation to the J.A. & 7 Kathryn Albertson Foundation for its sustained support and commitment to the 8 promotion, advancement and improvement of education in the state of Idaho; and 9 WHEREAS, throughout the years, the Albertson Foundation has contributed 10 over 70 million dollars for the benefit of Idaho students; and 11 WHEREAS, one of the most recent examples of the generosity of the Albert- 12 son Foundation was its contribution of 3.5 million dollars in 2001 to launch, 13 in partnership with the state of Idaho, the Idaho Student Information Manage- 14 ment System program which features web-based tools that teachers, principals, 15 schools, parents, and other educational partners can use to improve school 16 performance and more efficiently collect, analyze and manage data. This year, 17 the Foundation extended an additional 35 million dollars to expand the program 18 throughout the State of Idaho; and 19 WHEREAS, the impact of the generosity of the Albertson family and the Al- 20 bertson Foundation on education in the state of Idaho is immeasurable. 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of the Senate, assembled in 22 the First Regular Session of the Fifty-seventh Idaho Legislature, that the 23 sincere appreciation and gratitude of the state of Idaho is extended to the 24 J.A. & Kathryn Albertson Foundation for its generosity and commitment to edu- 25 cational development and progress in the state of Idaho.
