|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-seventh Legislature First Regular Session - 2003IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 2 BY STEVENSON 1 AN ACT 2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE LEGISLATIVE ACCOUNT FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR 3 RETAINING A CONSULTANT TO STUDY ENERGY ISSUES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 5 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Legislative Account 6 $25,000 from the General Fund to be expended for the period on and after the 7 effective date of this act until November 30, 2004, and shall be utilized to 8 retain a consultant or consultants to assist the Committee appointed by the 9 Legislative Council to study energy issues and assist the interim committee on 10 energy. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, any unex- 11 pended moneys appropriated pursuant to this act need not be encumbered at the 12 end of the fiscal year. 13 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby 14 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its 15 passage and approval.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 12424 This legislation appropriates $25,000 from the General Fund to the Legislative Account for the purpose of retaining a consultant to assist the Committee on Energy, which was created by the adoption of a separate concurrent resolution. FISCAL NOTE There will be a fiscal impact of $25,000 to the State General Fund over a two year period.
