|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-seventh Legislature First Regular Session - 2003IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 4 BY MR. SPEAKER Requested by: Department of Fish and Game 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO FISH AND GAME; AMENDING SECTION 36-1403, IDAHO CODE, TO STRIKE 3 CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DEPARTMENT'S COMPILATION AND DISBURSEMENT OF 4 A LIST OF FISHING AND/OR HUNTING PRIVILEGE REVOCATIONS TO CONSERVATION 5 OFFICERS AND FISH AND GAME LICENSE VENDORS; AND REPEALING SECTION 36-1506, 6 IDAHO CODE, RELATING TO CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DIRECTOR'S DISBURSE- 7 MENT OF A LIST OF HUNTING LICENSE REVOCATIONS TO HUNTING LICENSE VENDORS. 8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 9 SECTION 1. That Section 36-1403, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby 10 amended to read as follows: 11 36-1403. MAGISTRATE TO REPORT REVOCATIONS. Records of all revocations of 12 fishing and/or hunting privileges shall be submitted to the department by the 13 magistrates concerned.A list of all such revocations so received by said14department shall be compiled and sent to all conservation officers and fish15and game license vendors showing thereon the name, address, and term of revo-16cation of all persons who have been denied fishing and/or hunting privileges.17 SECTION 2. That Section 36-1506, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby 18 repealed.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 12364 This bill strikes a requirement for an obsolete list of persons who have been denied hunting and/or fishing privileges. This information is now kept as part of the Department of Fish and Game's computerized licensing system, and reported to Conservation Officers. The requirement for a printed list is obsolete, and it is unnecessary to report such information to license vendors. This bill will allow the Department to more efficiently enforce the license revocations, and will not burden the license vendors. FISCAL IMPACT None.
