  1                                        AN ACT
  2    RELATING TO THE BOARD OF PSYCHOLOGIST  EXAMINERS;  AMENDING  SECTION  54-2307,
  3        IDAHO  CODE,  TO  MAKE GRAMMATICAL CHANGES AND TO CLARIFY REQUIREMENTS FOR
  4        FEE PAYMENTS.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  That Section 54-2307, Idaho Code, be, and the same  is  hereby
  7    amended to read as follows:
                                                                        
  8        54-2307.  QUALIFICATIONS FOR LICENSE -- APPLICANTS FOR WHOM AN EXAMINATION
  9    MAY  BE  REQUIRED.  An  applicant shall be qualified for a license to practice
 10    psychology provided he submits proof satisfactory to the board that  has  been
 11    received showing:
 12        (a)  He is of aAcceptable moral character; and
 13        (b)  He is eEither (1) a graduate of graduation from an accredited college
 14    or university holding with a degree of doctor of philosophy in psychology plus
 15    and  two  (2) years of post graduate postgraduate experience acceptable to the
 16    board, such two (2) years not to include terms of internship, or (2) a  gradu-
 17    ate  of graduation from a recognized college or university holding with a doc-
 18    toral degree in a field related to psychology,  provided  his  experience  and
 19    training are acceptable to the board; and
 20        (c)  He  has  passed Successful passage of an examination if such examina-
 21    tion is required by the rules duly adopted by the board; and
 22        (d)  His Receipt of a completed application has  been  accompanied  by  an
 23    application  fee  as established by board rules not to exceed two hundred dol-
 24    lars ($200), and when an examination is required an examination fee  equal  to
 25    that charged by the national examining entity plus a processing fee of twenty-
 26    five  dollars  ($25.00)  payable to the chief bureau of occupational licenses.
 27    The fee for any required examination or reexamination shall be equal  to  that
 28    charged  by  submitted directly to the national examining entity. plus a proc-
 29    essing fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). The application  fee,  examination
 30    fee and the reexamination processing fee are not refundable.

                     STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

                             RS 12359

54-2307 clarifying the manner of payment to the national
examination entity, clarifying the processing fee of $25.00 and to
strike unnecessary language.










                         FISCAL IMPACT

There is no impact on General Funds or dedicated funds.
