1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004; AND LIM-
3 ITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
5 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Department of Labor the
6 following amounts, to be expended for the designated program according to the
7 designated expense classes from the listed funds for the period July 1, 2003,
8 through June 30, 2004:

18 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Department
19 of Labor is authorized no more than eight (8) full-time equivalent positions
20 at any point during the period July 1, 2003, through June 30, 2004, for the
21 program specified in Section 1 of this act, unless specifically authorized by
22 the Governor. The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee will be notified
23 promptly of any increased positions so authorized.

This budget reflects a General Fund reduction of 21.3% from the original FY 2003 budget due to a 5.5% budget reduction and a one-time reduction of $100,000 in the General Fund offset by the use of continuously appropriated funds.
Note: The figure shown for the “Budget Reduction (Neg. Supp)” in the Fiscal Note is the original amount recommended by the Governor. The final status of the negative supplemental was not known at the time this FY 2004 appropriation was set.
