                                BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
                                                                        
  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE BOARD OF TAX APPEALS FOR  FISCAL  YEAR  2004;  AND
  3        LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION  1.  There  is  hereby appropriated to the Board of Tax Appeals in
  6    the Department of Revenue and Taxation the following amounts, to  be  expended
  7    according  to  the  designated  expense  classes  from the listed fund for the
  8    period July 1, 2003, through June 30, 2004:

 11    Operating Expenditures                                                  56,400
 12      TOTAL                                                               $298,500
 13    FROM:

 15        SECTION 2.  In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the  Board  of
 16    Tax  Appeals is authorized no more than three and eight-tenths (3.8) full-time
 17    equivalent positions at any point during the period July 1, 2003, through June
 18    30, 2004, for the program specified in Section 1 of this act, unless  specifi-
 19    cally  authorized  by the Governor. The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee
 20    will be notified promptly of any increased positions so authorized.

This is the Fiscal Year 2004 appropriation for the Board of Tax Appeals.

Fiscal Note

This budget for the Board of Tax Appeals includes a funding reduction of 7.1%, and a reduction of 0.20 FTP. Funding includes $2,800 for the board’s copy machine lease, and $600 for minor interagency billing adjustments.
