  1                               A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
  2    STATING LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS TO SUPPORT AND PROMOTE WORKING  PEOPLE  OF  IDAHO
  3        IN  THEIR  CONTINUING  EFFORT  TO SUPPORT THEIR COMMUNITIES AND THIS GREAT
  4        STATE.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        WHEREAS, the widely recognized public promotion of  "Buy  Idaho"  products
  7    supports Idaho businesses; and
  8        WHEREAS, a highly qualified, skilled and diverse workforce exists in Idaho
  9    communities today; and
 10        WHEREAS, Idaho workers support our tax base, schools and communities; and
 11        WHEREAS,  putting  Idaho people back to work at livable wages in their own
 12    communities will decrease the burden on  Idaho's  unemployment  insurance  and
 13    social service programs.
 14        NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of the First Regular Session
 15    of  the  Fifty-seventh Idaho Legislature, the House of Representatives and the
 16    Senate concurring therein, that we support and promote working people in  liv-
 17    ing wage jobs in their continuing effort to support their communities, to "Buy
 18    Idaho,"  and to "Build Idaho."

Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact

                       STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
                             RS 12797
The purpose of this legislation is to support and promote the use
of Idaho workers to BUILD IDAHO and to pay Idaho workers a living
wage.
