2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004;
3 AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
5 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Department of Agriculture
6 the following amounts to be expended for the designated programs from the
7 listed funds for the period July 1, 2003, through June 30, 2004:

25 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Department
26 of Agriculture is authorized no more than one hundred eighty-one and sixty
27 hundredths (181.60) full-time equivalent positions at any point during the
28 period July 1, 2003, through June 30, 2004, for the programs specified in Sec-
29 tion 1 of this act, unless specifically authorized by the Governor. The Joint
30 Finance-Appropriations Committee will be notified promptly of any increased
31 positions so authorized.

This is the Fiscal Year 2004 Appropriation Bill for the Idaho State Department of Agriculture in the amount of $25,570,200. The bill includes a cap of 181.60 full-time equivalent positions. The appropriation is written in a lump-sum format to allow the department maximum flexibility in dealing with a General Fund budget cut of 7.1% from the current year original appropriation.
