STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 12938 This resolution authorizes the Legislative Council to appoint an interim study committee to undertake a review of the Local Planning Act. Many changes have occurred in Idaho since passage of the act and there appear to be increasing land use-related conflicts. It is timely to undertake such a review to determine if changes need to be made to assist local governments in their difficult decisions. FISCAL IMPACT Any necessary costs associated with the committee would be paid out of existing appropriations for the Legislative Council for the Legislative Services Office.
