|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-seventh Legislature First Regular Session - 2003IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 82 BY REVENUE AND TAXATION COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO LAND MANAGEMENT; AMENDING SECTION 4, CHAPTER 259, LAWS OF 1997, TO 3 PROVIDE THAT THE SUNSET CLAUSE SHALL APPLY ONLY TO SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF THE 4 ACT; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING A RETROACTIVE EFFECTIVE DATE. 5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 6 SECTION 1. That Section 4, Chapter 259, Laws of 1997, be, and the same is 7 hereby amended to read as follows: 8 SECTION 4. This act shall be in full force and effect on and after Janu- 9 ary 1, 1998, and. Sections 1 and 2 of this act shall be null, void and of no 10 force and effect on and after January 1, 2003. 11 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby 12 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its 13 passage and approval, and retroactively to December 31, 2002.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 12368 Revise Title 22, Chapter 27, Idaho Code and Title 63, Chapter 30, Idaho Code, (specifically 63-3024B) to remove the sunset clause and re-authorize the Natural Resources Income Tax Credit, the sunset date was January 1, 2003. The re-authorization would define terms, and provide for review and approval of qualified expenditures. FISCAL IMPACT Two hundred fifty thousand ($250,000) from the General Fund.
