STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 12534 This legislation clarifies that trailers used for hauling agricultural implements are exempt from the 8« foot width limitation included in Idaho Statute 49-1010. Modern implements of husbandry like swathers are often up to 15 foot wide and it is the intent of this legislation to exempt all trailers that are used exclusively to haul such implements for agricultural operations. Part C of this proposal is to remove the 25 mph limit on tractors or implements being transported on highways but requiring that such tractors or implements display a red or orange flag a minimum of twelve (12) by twelve (12) inches on the outermost left projection of the tractor or implement. FISCAL IMPACT This legislation should have no fiscal impact. Contact Name: Rep. Ridinger Phone: 332-1000 Dr. Greg Nelson 392-2688 STATEMENT OF PURPOSE/FISCAL NOTE H 138
