  1                                        AN ACT
  2    RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF BONDED INDEBTEDNESS; AMENDING CHAPTER 5, TITLE 67,
  3        IDAHO CODE, BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION 67-515, IDAHO CODE,  TO  PRO-
  4        VIDE FOR A LIMITATION ON THE AUTHORIZATION OF BONDED INDEBTEDNESS.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION  1.  That  Chapter  5,  Title  67, Idaho Code, be, and the same is
  7    hereby amended by the addition thereto of a NEW SECTION, to be known and  des-
  8    ignated as Section 67-515, Idaho Code, and to read as follows:
                                                                        
  9        67-515.  AUTHORIZATION  FOR  BONDED  INDEBTEDNESS LIMITED. Notwithstanding
 10    any other provision of the law to the contrary, the state shall not  authorize
 11    the issuance of any additional bonded indebtedness to be repaid from the state
 12    permanent  building fund beyond that which has been authorized by the legisla-
 13    ture prior to June 30, 2003.

Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact



                       STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
                             RS13244
The purpose of this legislation is to ensure that, following June
30, 2003, the Legislature shall not authorize the issuance of any
additional bonded indebtedness to be repaid from the state
permanent building fund beyond that which has been authorized by
the legislature prior to June 30, 2003.
                          FISCAL IMPACT

There is no negative fiscal impact on the General Funds or on the
Permanent Building Fund.
