|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-seventh Legislature First Regular Session - 2003IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 5 BY JUDICIARY, RULES AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE 1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 2 PROVIDING FOR PRINTING THE HOUSE AND SENATE LEGISLATIVE DAILY JOURNALS AND 3 FIXING THE PRICE FOR PRINTING THE SAME. 4 Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 5 WHEREAS, Section 67-509, Idaho Code, has made provisions for the printing 6 of the House and Senate Legislative Daily Journals; 7 NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with a written contract duly made and 8 entered into by the House Judiciary, Rules, and Administration Committee and 9 the Senate Judiciary and Rules Committee; 10 BE IT RESOLVED, by the members of the First Regular Session of the 11 Fifty-seventh Idaho Legislature, that the contract for the printing of the 12 House and Senate Legislative Daily Journals in accordance with the provisions 13 of law and in accordance with the written contract between the House Judi- 14 ciary, Rules, and Administration Committee and the Senate Judiciary and Rules 15 Committee, as party of the first part, and Bureau of Copy and Records Ser- 16 vices, of Boise, Idaho, as party of the second part, be, and the same is 17 hereby ratified and confirmed, and is incorporated herein and made a part of 18 this resolution, in words and figures following, to wit: 19 PRINTING AGREEMENT 20 THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 13th day of January, 2003, by 21 and between the HOUSE JUDICIARY, RULES, AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE and the 22 SENATE JUDICIARY AND RULES COMMITTEE of the First Regular Session of the 23 Fifty-seventh Idaho Legislature, hereinafter mentioned as party of the first 24 part, and BUREAU OF COPY AND RECORDS SERVICES, Boise, Idaho, hereinafter men- 25 tioned as party of the second part; 26 WITNESSETH: 27 That pursuant to a resolution of said party of the first part and written 28 quotation submitted by party of the second part, a contract for legislative 29 printing is hereby awarded to the said Bureau of Copy and Records Services, as 30 follows: 31 HOUSE AND SENATE DAILY JOURNAL 32 FIRST AND SECOND REGULAR SESSIONS 33 AND ANY EXTRAORDINARY SESSIONS 34 200 copies of House Journal 35 200 copies of Senate Journal 36 400 total copies ......................................... $18.00 per page 37 100 additional copies ........................................ $18.00 per page 38 IT IS AGREED by the parties hereto that all of said printing shall be done 39 in the form and manner and upon such suitable material as was included in the 40 bid specifications and is now required by the statutes of the State of Idaho; 41 where not otherwise herein provided, such statutes shall be controlling, and 2 1 particularly as to the printing of Legislative Journals, the same shall be 2 printed in conformity with Section 67-509, Idaho Code, which section is hereby 3 referred to and by reference made a part of this contract as though set forth 4 herein at length; that the number of copies to be supplied under this contract 5 may from time to time be determined by the party of the first part; and that 6 all other terms of the specifications for the Journals of the party of the 7 first part shall be complied with as though set forth herein at length. 8 IT IS AGREED that in the printing of the Journal the same shall be deliv- 9 ered daily on the desk of the Chief Clerk of the House, and on the desk of the 10 Secretary of the Senate not later than the hour of 9 a.m. on each day; pro- 11 vided, that the party of the second part shall not be responsible in this 12 respect, in cases of unreasonable delay in furnishing copy for such printing 13 to the party of the second part. 14 The party of the second part further covenants and agrees to deliver to 15 the party of the first part good and sufficient surety bond or other collat- 16 eral, if and when requested, in the manner and form, and with a surety accept- 17 able to the party of the first part, in the sum of Five Thousand Dollars 18 ($5,000), guaranteeing the satisfactory and faithful performance by the party 19 of the second part of all the conditions and covenants of this contract. 20 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the party of the second part has caused these presents 21 to be executed by its proper official and the party of the first part, by Con- 22 current Resolution, has caused these presents to be executed by its proper 23 officials. 24 Party of the First Part 25 By /s/ Bruce Newcomb 26 BRUCE NEWCOMB, Speaker of the House 27 HOUSE JUDICIARY, RULES, AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE 28 By /s/Debbie Field 29 DEBBIE FIELD, Chairman 30 By /s/ Robert L.
