  1                                        AN ACT
  2    RELATING TO THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE DIVISION OF VETERANS SERVICES;  AMENDING
  3        SECTION 1, CHAPTER 239, LAWS OF 2002, TO REVISE SPENDING AUTHORITY BETWEEN
  4        FUND SOURCES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2003; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  That Section 1, Chapter 239, Laws of 2002, be, and the same is
  7    hereby amended to read as follows:
                                                                        
  8        SECTION  1.  There is hereby appropriated to the Division of Veterans Ser-
  9    vices within the Department of Self-Governing Agencies the following amount to
 10    be expended from the listed funds for the period July 1,  2002,  through  June
 11    30, 2003:

 15    Miscellaneous Revenue Fund                                           6,406,500
 16                                                                         6,740,500
 17    Veterans Services Endowment Income Fund                                678,300

 20      TOTAL                                                            $16,143,800
                                                                        
 21        SECTION  2.  An  emergency  existing  therefor,  which emergency is hereby
 22    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and  effect  on  and  after
 23    passage and approval.

Amends the fiscal year 2003 appropriation to Veterans Services by revising spending authority between fund sources.

Fiscal Note

Shifts $334,000 from federal funds to dedicated funds, since current pay source statistics project more collections in private pay receipts than in Medicaid receipts. There is no impact on the bottom line.
