|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-seventh Legislature First Regular Session - 2003IN THE SENATE SENATE BILL NO. 1098 BY RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO FISH AND GAME LICENSES; AMENDING CHAPTER 3, TITLE 36, IDAHO CODE, 3 BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION 36-311, IDAHO CODE, TO PROVIDE THAT THE 4 SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS OF LICENSEES AND APPLICANTS FOR LICENSES SHALL NOT 5 BE DISPLAYED ON ANY POINT OF SALE DEVICE. 6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 7 SECTION 1. That Chapter 3, Title 36, Idaho Code, be, and the same is 8 hereby amended by the addition thereto of a NEW SECTION, to be known and des- 9 ignated as Section 36-311, Idaho Code, and to read as follows: 10 36-311. LICENSEE IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION. Notwithstanding any other 11 provision of law, the social security number of any licensee or applicant for 12 a license shall not be displayed on any point of sale device.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 12758C1 This measure will eliminate the practice of displaying on the point of sale device, a licensee s social security number when purchasing or applying for any license.
