STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 12993 This legislation directs the Health Care Task Force to be the legislative oversight committee that monitors the state High Risk Reinsurance Pool. The original High Risk Pool legislation in 2000 called for the appointment of an oversight committee. This bill assigns the responsibility to the Health Care Task Force and eliminates the need to create a separate committee.
