Charge: work with licensing boards to examine current rules and regulations within their respective fields. The committee will request respective boards to work with it in analyze the impact of current licensing regulations on business, review applicable regulations for anti-competitive language and effects, and provide specific recommendations to ease regulatory or licensing requirements on their respective industry. The subcommittee will be expected to report to the germane committees during the 2019 legislative session.

As of February 20, 2018, the Regulatory Reform Subcommittee will be found on the Legislature’s website as a Special Committee, on the Interim Committees page. However, in the event the Legislature adopts a Concurrent Resolution authorizing the Subcommittee to continue as an Interim Committee, upon adoption of that Concurrent Resolution the Regulatory Reform Subcommittee will be found on the website as a 2018 Interim Committee. SCR 146 authorizes the subcommttee to continue as a 2018 Interim Committee (Occupational Licensing and Certification Laws Committee.)
