The Idaho Capitol Tour Program is staffed by volunteer docents, like you, who are dedicated to the presentation of the Capitol Building and the history which has taken place within its walls and continues now. Being a working Capitol and not just a historical building brings a new level of interest to the tours we provide to the public.
This website has been created for you, the Idaho State Capitol Docents. In it you will find the docent’s script, the self-guided booklet, fun facts (Please send me additional information for this section!), links to interesting sites about Idaho and its history and photos as well. Soon, we will be launching an interactive online calendar of tours that will make it easier to sign-up to lead a tour and to see when they are occurring.
Thank you for all that you do for the Capitol Building. Without your dedication, expertise and enthusiasm we would not be able to perform to the high standards we have. The Capitol Tour Program Docents guide approximately 12,000 to 15,000 citizens through the building each year!
