S1285|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fifth Legislature First Regular Session - 1999IN THE SENATE SENATE BILL NO. 1285 BY FINANCE COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT IN ADDITION TO THE 3 APPROPRIATION MADE IN SECTION 1, HOUSE BILL 334, ENACTED BY THE FIRST REG- 4 ULAR SESSION OF THE FIFTY-FIFTH IDAHO LEGISLATURE. 5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 6 SECTION 1. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 1, House Bill 7 334, enacted by the First Regular Session of the Fifty-fifth Idaho Legisla- 8 ture, there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Law Enforcement the 9 following amount to be expended for the designated program according to the 10 designated expense classes from the listed fund for the period July 1, 1999, 11 through June 30, 2000: 12 RACING COMMISSION: 13 FOR: 14 Personnel Costs $10,000 15 Operating Expenditures 70,000 16 TOTAL $80,000 17 FROM: 18 Idaho State Racing Commission Fund $80,000
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS09227 This is the fiscal year 2000 trailer appropriation for the Department of Law Enforcement. Analyst Comments: This funding restores the amount that was removed from the Racing Commission's budget in a Base Reduction to account for the discontinuation of simulcast dog racing. Senate Bill 1115 removed the sunset provision and this appropriation restores that spending authority.
