 1                                        AN ACT
 2    RELATING TO SPORT SHOOTING RANGES; AMENDING CHAPTER 26, TITLE 55, IDAHO  CODE,
 3        BY  THE  ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION 55-2605, IDAHO CODE, TO PROVIDE FOR THE
 4        ACCEPTANCE OF RISKS BY A PERSON USING A SPORT SHOOTING RANGE.

 5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:

 6        SECTION 1.  That Chapter 26, Title 55, Idaho Code, be,  and  the  same  is
 7    hereby  amended  by  the addition thereto of a  NEW SECTION , to be
 8    known and designated as Section 55-2605, Idaho Code, and to read as follows:

 9        55-2605.  USE OF SPORT SHOOTING RANGE -- ACCEPTANCE OF RISKS.  Each person
10    who participates in sport shooting at a sport shooting range accepts the risks
11    associated with the sport to the extent the risks are  obvious  and  inherent.
12    Those  risks include natural variations in terrain, surface or subsurface snow
13    or ice conditions, bare spots, rocks, trees and other forms of natural  growth
14    or debris, and the use of other than factory loaded ammunition.

                STATEMENT  OF PURPOSE

    The purpose of this legislation is to amend 
    existing Idaho code and add a new section 
    55-2605, at the request of the Parks and 
    Recreation Department of the city of 
    Standpoint, that deals with the acceptance of 
    shooters that handload their own ammunition.
